Highlight from MWC's Women's Action Plan:
Prostitution and Trafficking
The Beijing Platform notes that “Poverty can… force women into situations in which they are vulnerable to sexual exploitation,” including prostitution and related sex industries such as pornography, and also that “the effective suppression of trafficking in women and girls for the sex trade is a matter of pressing international concern.”  Trafficking may also refer to the use of women and girls for forced labor.  Prostitution and trafficking are still realities of women’s lives, internationally and in Minnesota....
