The Minnesota Women’s Consortium Annual Meeting will include a review of the previous year and introduce what will be happening next year. At the Annual Meeting, we will be hearing from the Co-Founder and Executive Director, Tea Rozman-Clark and two students from Green Card Voices
. The voices of immigrants are critical in Minnesota and in creating a viable landscape for women to thrive.
We will be hearing from the following speakers:
* Tea Rozman-Clark who co-founded the organization to combats stereotypes by empowering immigrants to tell their stories.
* Zaynab Abdi is a passionate advocate for young people, specifically young women in education and sports. One of Zaynab’s many passions in life is to help build more inclusive communities for all. She is actively working towards this goal by speaking across Minnesota, and the U.S.
* Iya Xiong is Hmong and was born in a small village in Laos. Iya will be a senior at LEAP High School next year. After she graduates, Iya would like to become a banker and wants to travel back to her home country.
