Executive Director Job Announcement
Minnesota Women’s Consortium is seeking an Executive Director to lead implementation of a strategic plan that was completed in 2019 with input from the community. The person in this role will need to have the skill set and passion for social justice to drive transformational growth that mobilizes grassroots efforts benefitting women and historically marginalized communities. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead, engage, and implement effective methods to ensure optimal coalition-building activities that produce both financial and community gains to improve conditions for women and girls in the state of Minnesota.
The Year 2020 will be a time for the Minnesota Women’s Consortium to celebrate 40 years of a powerful and vital legacy in the state. It will also be the 100th Anniversary of the Passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting Women’s Constitutional Right to Vote. The Year 2020 will continue to be a time to remind us to never give up, as we have seen how easily things can go backwards if we do not continue to mobilize in powerful ways to advance equity and justice for all women and girls.

Provide transformational leadership while engaging the community to implement the vision, mission, values, and strategic plan of the Minnesota Women’s Consortium (MWC) in collaboration with the Board of Directors, Staff, and Membership.
Uphold and enact MWC Vision, Mission, and Values
Advance development initiatives
Enhance sustainable financial resources
Strengthen and grow membership
Engage in marketing and public awareness
Lead program activities
Provide strategic leadership of MWC
Demonstrated executive leadership capacity
Commitment to MWC’s mission, including the recognition of abolitionist movements and The Houston Plan of Action & Beijing Platform of 1995
Excellent organizational development, administration and personnel/volunteer management skills
Two years of experience leading or participating in successful grassroots fundraising efforts and social media campaigns
Two years of experience in program development and event coordination
Three years of experience in statewide coalition work, including volunteer management and policy review
Five years of supervisory experience
Strong fiscal management capacity, including demonstrated understanding of business operations
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in working with diverse communities and organizations
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
