Give to the Max Day 2017: November 16
The Minnesota Women’s Consortium turned 38 and celebrated another year with you at our Celebration 38: CommUNITY inAction on November 1, 2017. More than ever, unity is needed to combat divisive actions and attitudes and women know how to do this and we do it well! We hope you will join us during Give to the Max Day 2017 and be a part of creating strong and vital communities leading change.
Over this last year, threats to women’s choices over their bodies and the disregard for women’s voices both at the state and national level reminds us that we can never get comfortable and we cannot work alone. Therefore, we found it critical to highlight collective action resulting in equity and inclusion. While the Consortium has been doing this since we were formed in 1980, we are always learning and working to ensure our vision of a day when all women and girls have the confidence, freedom, and power to reach their full potential can be attained.
This time is also a critical time to start off our year (which began in July) strong, financially. We all know that the intense work for advancing equity and justice for all women requires resources, both human and financial. Please keep our communities strong while expanding the valuable voices that need to be heard! We need your continued support to do what we have been doing since early 1980s. Please follow us on Facebook & twitter @mnwomen to keep posted on what we are up to!
We look forward to you contribution on the week of Give Max Day Thursday, November 16, 2017.
