The Women Candidate Development Coalition, comprised of eight member organizations working cooperatively to increase the active participation of progressive women at all decision-making levels of Minnesota government, wants to know: Are you still recovering from November’s federal and state elections? Are you concerned about the attempts to rollback progress women previously made in Congress and at the Legislature? If you are ready for some positive political news you are invited to attend the Women Candidate Development Coalition’s Thirty-first Birthday Party on Wednesday, May 24th, 5:00 – 7:30 PM at the Woman’s Club of Minneapolis. Delicious hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and beverages will be provided. This annual event is the Coalition’s only fundraising event of the year. Your donation is tax-deductible and provides critically needed support for WCDC’s vital work on behalf of prospective pro-choice women candidates.
A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of WCDC’s awards to pro-choice women: the Lucy Hahn — Barbara Stuhler Political Courage Award and the Political Excellence Award recognizing the significant, career long achievements of pro-choice women officeholders.
