Monday Member Feature for March 3: CAPI
I’d like to take this time to bring awareness and recognition to one of our incredible group members, CAPI. CAPI’s mission is to guide refugees and immigrants in the journey toward self-determination and social equality. It was founded in 1982 and they are a community based, anti-poverty organization. They provide refugees and immigrants with access to jobs, housing, food, health education, as well as youth and senior social services.
CAPI was happy to accept a $10,000 grant from Roundy’s Foundation this month, continuing more than a decade of support for CAPI’s food shelf. Because of grants like this, CAPI was able to distribute nearly 130 tons of food last year. Stay tuned for more information on the food shelf’s March campaign.
If you’d like to get involved with CAPI, you can volunteer.
