Seneca Falls Society

A Clearinghouse for Leadership, Information, and Action

The Minnesota Women's Consortium is unique — the only one of its kind in the country. As a statewide coalition with 170 member organizations, the Consortium serves as a resource to enhance equality and justice for women in Minnesota. It helps women stay in touch, up-to-date, and savvy.

One hundred fifty years after the first convention for women's rights in Seneca Falls, New York, the Consortium fuels the momentum begun with the 1848 Declaration of Sentiments that called for women's right to vote and more.

The Consortium's 18-year history includes a long list of accomplishments. To maintain support for its strategic leadership and to commemorate the work begun at Seneca Falls, the Consortium has created the Seneca Falls Society. The new Seneca Falls Society is for special friends who give generously to ensure that the Consortium's vital services continue into the next century.

Defining a 21st Century Vision for Women's Rights

Much has been achieved. But, more remains to be done. Looking toward the next millenium, the Consortium's goal is to define a fresh vision for the Minnesota women's movement. In this visionary role, the Consortium will proactively:

  • Identify trends that influence women's equality and justice
  • Define potential solutions for those trends or issues
  • Lead efforts to create support for the solutions
  • Include diverse individuals and groups in the process

A History of Support from Seneca Falls Onward

We invite you to invest in the Consortium's leadership and join the movement. Your generosity will help the women of Minnesota develop the vision to maintain momentum for progressive social change and equality.

I'd like to join now!
