Last year, 11 teams competed but only one was crowned victorious. In addition, they raised funds to support the Minnesota Women’s Consortium’s efforts to advance equity and justice for all women in Minnesota. Let’s do it again!
How can I participate?
1) Be Captain Smarty Pants
When you captain your own team, you’re responsible for finding three to six other team members and making sure your team meets its $300 fundraising minimum by August 19, 2016. Name your team, find a team costume (optional), and start studying. Write Ishwari at email@example.com or Lorraine at firstname.lastname@example.org to register your team.
The Minnesota Women’s Consortium will set you up with a team fundraising page. Send e-mails to friends, family, coworkers and just about everyone you know who supports equity and justice. Before you know it your team is a champion fundraiser!
Don’t forget Facebook, Twitter and any of the other social media sites you might use. All funds support the Minnesota Women’s Consortium’s advocacy work to advance equity and justice for Minnesota women.
If a team captain recruited you to join their team, start sending emails and spreading the word through social media. You will be responsible for raising money as a team member. Your team captain will let you know your team’s goal, but every team is asked to raise at least $300.
Want to be on a team but don’t have a captain? Let us know. We’ll match you with a team.
3) Not interested in playing trivia?
Just want to hang out with a drink and bask in the fun? You can! It’s $10 to get in the door. There will be audience participation and chances to win prizes.
All teams are eligible to win fantastic prize give-aways. As teams fundraise, there will be opportunities to win prizes along the way. The more money you raise, the more opportunities there are.
