Unpaid Summer Internship positions!

We have two summer unpaid internships, Development & Events, available from June to August 2017. Work days and work hours are flexible. Apply by May 8, 2017. Contact kabo@mnwomen.org if you have more questions.

Internship Title: Development Intern

Proposed Intern Projects or Duties: The MN Women’s Consortium is looking for a self-motivated individual who can assist the organization with our development strategies. This includes grant writing support, membership outreach and sponsorship solicitation. Working in partnership with the Executive Director, the intern will research and develop grant proposals for local foundations.  The intern will also oversee a membership campaign to retain current member organizations and recruit new ones. And finally, the intern will work with the Communications and Development Manager on sponsorships for events.

Other duties might include, but are not limited to:

Promoting and supporting fundraising events and activities;

Assisting Consortium staff with answering telephones and general office work as well as any special projects that should arise.

Desired Experience:

  • Familiarity with the issues affecting women
  •  Analyzing and synthesizing data into informational and educational summaries
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, InDesign and Powerpoint

Duration of Internship: June to August 2017

Internship Title: Events Coordinator Intern

Possible Intern Projects or Duties: The MN Women’s Consortium is looking for a self- motivated individual who can assist the organization with several key educational and informational events. This includes planning, coordinating, fundraising and volunteer management.

Girls Rock! is a series of educational opportunities for girls to learn about careers in government, nonprofit, corporations and as entrepreneurs.

The Women’s Economic Security Summit provides a forum to learn and advocate on issues affecting the economic outcomes of women in Minnesota. The Summit is planned by a committee of organizational representatives.

Celebration is the annual gathering of the MWC community.  Speakers, performers and an awards ceremony are all a part of this event.

Other duties might include, but are not limited to:
